this is what it states in the eyfs pack
Staff ratio is as follows
• 1:3 for birth to two years olds
• 1:4 for two to three year olds
• 1:8 for three to five year olds
Room ratio is as follows
• 3:5 sq. metres for birth to two year olds
• 2:5 sq. metres for two to three year olds
2:3 sq. metres for three to five year olds

Default child space ratio - space requirement for children

Hi, to add on, Englands Ey's statutory welfare requirements, page 34 of EYFS framework

but here is a little that might help you:

• If in your setting you have a professional with a relevant level 6 qualification working directly with the children, the staffing levels then become 1 adult to 13 children, at least one member of staff must hold a relevant level 3 qualification.
All relevant qualifications must be defined by CWDC. The ratios relate to staff working directly with the children, suitable staff must be available to cover staff breaks, holidays, sickness and time spent on courses or with parents. There must be at least two members of staff on duty at any one time when children are present.


All the other ratio's also states that a person holding a relevant level 3 qualification must be present
