Default work placements

Hi all im new here and just wondered if anyone can help me
i did my nvq 2 in ccld in 2009 and hoping to do the diploma level 3 in children and young peoples work force in sept i need to find a work placement i would like to be a community nursery nurse in the future and wondered do you think they would let me work there or does it have to be a nursery? i rather work in the community than nursery.
