Hi this is about how you're involved with the knowledge individual children's stage of development happens and how everyone recognises children's physical development ie. how news is shared/documented/recorded.

Consider if you take notes and share visual observations with a child's key person, do you undertake written observations if you a're the key person. Do you talk with parents to find out about physical activity at home - begins to crawl, first steps, climbs stairs, walking indepedantly, runs, learning to hop, making marks with crayons & pencils, using scissors..

Do you contribute ideas and suggestions when meeting with colleagues so that different activities that reflect children's interests, support and develop their physical development can be planned?

If you're in England this page for 2014 EYFS shows the developmental outcomes you're looking to support. The development matters guidance provides greater detail.

Hth xx
