Help SOS Health and Wellbeing

Hi
I have not long statred my level 3 course and have a question on health and wellbeing.
It is this ,
Discuss the importance of health and wellbeing for young children from birth to 5
years.
I'm not sure how to go about answering this question.
Is it along the lines of that if there was no standard of health and wellbeing then there is no standard of care for the child and as the early years are some of the most important of a childs life then this can cause problems later in life?

If anyone can help me I would be sooooo very grateful.
Thank you

Hi, welcome to the site. Can you check with your course provider to see if this 'discuss' criteria will be part of a planned visit to your workplace or if it'll happen during a college lecture?

If you're undertaking England's Early Years Educator qualification the Health and Well-being unit in a level 3 handbook is good reading.

If you're a work based learner? or Early Years Educator - links are to amazon.co.uk

The importance of health and well-being is for children to succeed, achieve their full potential - Eys outcomes, for adults to encourage independence, skills for self reliance, how its possible for them to minimise the risk of harm and suffering, infection or disease by providing information about dietary choices, dental, eye and skin care. For children to know positive relationships with adults, children and young people, secure attachments and a sense of belonging.

Hth a little, best wishes with your study

my assesor has said it is part of a written assignment, and im a work based learner.
I am volunteering at a nursery and doing the course online through a agency, for some reason I couldn't go back to college as I have a degree already but that is in zoology so feel a little bit thrown in the deep end as its is all brand new to me.
Thank you for the reply. :)
