Level 3 knowledge regarding minimising the spread of infection can be found on pages 39+ & 75-6 of
this EYE handbook - on amazon.co.uk which looks at hygiene - physical care routines eg. handwashing food hygiene, protective clothing, dealing with spillages, safe disposal, cleaning and sterilisation. To help prevent secondary infections it also looks at children's mobility & bodily circulation, good ventilation, encouraging children to rest, what their diet is and minimising contact with other people.
Page 106 then examines COSHH and the legislation for health & safety.
At level 4 you'll be in a position to review and implement changes in managerial practices so it's important you speak to your tutor and make sure you're covering the criteria inline with the responsibilities of a higher qualification.
