General question assess how well learners are participating

Hi can anyone help please

assess how well learners are participating in activities and the progress they are meeting my head can not get round this question

Hi, assess can mean examine, consider how well your learners/children or young people take part in the activities, are they dis-interested from the start or maybe keen to be involved, are they positive and motivated about what's involved, or appear/say they'd rather do something else?

How is the progress they're making matched to any targets, aims or learning intentions? are they meet when expected, are slow to complete, finish a task ahead of time?
