Help SOS Education Act 2006

Hi All,
Please can any one shed any light on why the Education Act 2006 was introduced when we already have the Education Act 2002. Have googled and am unable to find and answer. I need to link to a policy used in school

Many thanks

I like Wikipedia quite often

Look for the Education and Inspection act 2006 and then also look for the Education act 2002

I think they are the ones you want!

Of course you could also trail through WWW.legislation.gov.uk and search for the acts, but that is mind blowing!

There is a news article in Reuters when the act became in force in APril 2007 entitled Teachers given new discipline powers. There are also articles on the BBC website adn in the Guardian on a similar matter.

There is info out there, and alot of the news is related to school issues.

I hope you are able to link it in to the School Policy

Thank you Butterflies that has really helped and I can see where it will link to school policies. Felt like Iwas going in circles as you say looking through the legislations is so mind numbing
