Hi glad you made it in ok.

All the ccld nvq level 3 units - which is what 301 is one of, can be viewed online on the CWD - children's workforce development council's website, you can click through from this thread - NVQ3

The search page on silkysteps will enable you to look for threads and posts that have already been made - type in the knowledge reference eg: K3M156, key/single words from the unit you're working on or phrases to see if they've been asked after.

Take it slow, when you first find out the quantity of 'acts and legislation your head may swim. Take them one at a time and pace it all xx

This link to businesslink is a nice introduction to data protection - Comply with data protection/confidentiality legislation

Ask your setting if you can have a copy of the policies, procedures, prospectus and other information that relates to how it works for you.

Best wishes

1 week to do 301 is silly my assessor gives me at least 4 weeks to get most of a unit done, I started back in August 2010 and suppose to finish April/June time but am behind on work still have 4 units to do and only had my assessor out to twice to assess me, they are asking for an extension as they are so busy that they keep cancelling my assessment days, my last one was cancelled last week now have to wait for them to reschedule a day. I hope you get some of the work done, I found that unit hard.

1. I've never done a NVQ before and I don't quite get how to answer the tasks. I've read the standards for 301 - do I cover everything mentioned in these when answering the tasks?

2. Once I submit my work, do I get it back in order to make amendments?

3. How much am I expected to write? Are quotes and references relevent?

Thanks in advance for your help. I am doing this NVQ alone, no evening classes or College so I'm kind of on my own when it comes to doing the tasks.

Thanks again.
Emma.

Emma - go back to your training provider and make sure they answer your questions. They should have also told you which parts of the unit will be observed by an assessor. The elements/pcs in 301 can mainly be covered by assessor observation. You should have an assessor who is assigned to you, who will plan each unit with you and agree what will be covered and how.
