General question Paint bowls?

How do you display and add interest to the paint bowls, containers and application tools on offer?

Do you find children freely access different brushes, dabbers, sticks or enjoy a planned/impromtu change over of them ?

What bowls would you use in dinosaurs times ..

In our creative area i have put a 3 tiered trolley containing of glue sticks, dabbers, cellotape dispenser, paper, paint brushes etc for the children to access themselves and rotate weekly what items are on it. This seems to work well and they often ask for things to go on and add to themselves.

We would have pull out trays under our painting easel which the children can freely use the resources available. We would change these every week depending on theme and child's interests. If we are doing self portraits or themes for example on jungle animals we would attach mirrors around the easel or lots of interesting pictures on animals. We also do and activity were we mix golden syrup into the paint, it gives the paint a shiny sheen and smells delicious the kids love it.
