An informal activity is someone doing something for themselves with no guidelines,eg playing on computor, baking eg. A formal activity is often completed in a group and follow a set layout, eg. dance class, football team or drama.Formal is a structured way for the child to do an activity, the adult plans and the yp's partake in what has been planned.

1.1 evidence suggests that it helps children to have positive experiences and develop important characteristics and abilities such as, enjoying the company of others, communication as in talking and listening. developing good relationships making friends and working together.these have been shown to lead to a sense of purpose, confidence, sense of belonging and self respect. When approaching any activity it is a good idea to plan ahead...........write about risk assesments and any hazards involved, age appropriate etc. planning etc hope this helps also.

1.2 potential benefits are for eg, participating in activities that encourage movement helps with physical activity, having fun promotes positive emotions.hope this helps.

Hi this is about how you find different materials, craft items, things to build with, adhesives and fasteners such as glue, tape so that c&yp can enjoy taking part in something you've organised. Based on your knowledge of their interests and any suggestions they might of offered it will then depend what your setting has within its own storage cupboards and the type of activity you are planning. Outside of the setting's resource store you may also need to find/buy/loan/fund from shops, recycling centres, lending schemes - which can sometimes be run by local authority departments.

adaptable activity planner

Best wishes
