Equality.

Can anyone help with these 2 questions please?

Apply anti-discriminatory legislation and codes of practice to own behaviour within the early years settings.

And

Reflect on the impact of legislation and codes of practice on the promotion of equality or opportunity in own setting!

I am stuck on them massively and my deadline is coming nearer and it needs completing. Any help or a quick outline will help me just to get me on track!

Thanks a lot guys!

Hi, these would be nicely evidenced in a professional discussion & workplace observation by your assessor, do you know if they intend to cover them on the next visit?

Definition of discrimination on google

You apply anti-discriminatory legislation - Equality act and codes of practice (especially those that celebrate the individuality & value of each child in England's EYFS 2014) to your own behaviour when you stand up for and promote children's rights and the equality & inclusion policies and procedures of the setting.

To put reflection onto paper you could adapt this sample document and think about what your equal-opportunity policy says, times where you and colleagues observe/help children to understand the positivity of diversity in age differences, gender differences, cultural differences, and what staff meetings explore anti-discriminatory practice. Consider the resources you have in the setting that show a mix of ethnicity, traditions, countries, family structures and homes.
