Has nobody else had this question? It relates to my previous question which was suggest ways the identified development needs of a child or young person can be met in the work setting, which I've said if a child has language delay then in the setting we could do more circle times, reading, flash cards, songs an phonics sessions to help the child feel more confident speaking around others and helping their language to develope. The second part of the question as above I don't really understand what it means.

Hi, welcome to silkysteps.

This criteria is based on workplace practice which can be quite unique.

In your setting, how do you look at the activities you provide for children and ensure they meet the children's needs?

What sort of observations do you make as the activity is in progress or is happening and you're watching and joining in with the children. How do you then use that information about children's individual development to develop and plan other activites or resources?

Observation methods can be checklist, narrative methods or a running record, they can be in the form of a diary, anecdotal, time sampling and event recording. A level 2 handbook will be more supportive if you have access to one - on amazon ?

The search page will find existing threads if you enter keywords from your assessment criteria and pages 17, 11 and then 13 of this book preview will also help.

Best wishes xx
