Default reserching into the different legislations that promote equal opportunity

Heya have to research the different legislations that promote equal opportunites and reflect how these might effect your practice.
So ive started with this..
It is an entitlement of every child and their family to have access to inclusive education, whatever their gender, age, attainment, ethnicity, special educational needs or ability in spoke English. All Early years settings are required to develop an equal opportunities policy that promotes equality of access and opportunity for all the children they care for. Working together, with families and children, will help everyone to develop a positive and inclusive attitude towards others....
Anything else I could include maybe the Disablity Act?? thank you xx

Researching * sorry lol

Hi
• The Equality Act 2010.

Equality Act 2010.
Equality of Opportunities is linked with all four themes A unique child (1.2 inclusive practice, 1.3 keeping safe), positive relationships (2.1 respecting each other, 2.2 parents as partners, 2.3 supporting learning, 2.4 key person), Enabling environments (3.2 supporting every child, 3.4 the wider context) and learning and development (4.4 areas of learning and development).
Legal framework: The Equality Act 2010 .
Equality Act 2010: This is a way of how people interact with others in society and is statutory by law. The equality Act 2010 replaces all previous acts relating to equality and discrimination. The act is compulsory to any organisations providing a service to the public. Early Years must have a policy in place regarding equality of opportunities and to support children with learning difficulties or disabilities. Early years must also have regard to the SEN code of practice. The EYFS also states that settings have a responsibility to ensure positive attitudes to diversity and differences. Within my setting we have Equality and Diversity, SEN and disability policies in place to help support and protect all individuals that access our service. The policies bring together all the main points from all the Acts and requirements of the EYFS.

hope it helps a little there is alot more legislation on this but it depends on how much you want to write

This is what I put for the other question...
Promoting Equality Within The Setting

Equality can be promoted within the nursery by play (role playing or playing games from different cultures), stories (from different cultures, about disabilities), discussions (maybe different festivals such as Diwali), songs, by making children and their families, old and new, feel safe and secure within the setting. Information for parents such as letters needs to be in a language the adult understands and not just in English and the setting should be aware of any other communication problems such as partial blindness or difficulties in reading.
The setting also needs to make sure that all children with a physical disability are given enough support and the setting is right for them. The right toys are given to them (maybe items with different textures for blind children or flashing toys that autistic children tend to enjoy)
And one of the most important things is to be a good role model and encourage the children and their parents so they feel included.
