Default unit 1.5 children and young people in the workforce

hi everyone, wow what a stressful day, my tutor just quit and ive had no correspondence from the college so im at a loose end for asking for help, as the way some of the questions are written totally throws me

Right im stuck on unit 1.5

Explain procedures which are followed when a child is taken ill in a setting?

and

describe how the early years practioner supports a child to prepare for a stay in hospital????

Hi, for the first criteria you need to ask your setting or placement what happens when a child is taken ill. They'll have a policy and procedures that guide exactly what you do as a professional early years practitioner safeguarding the welfare and well-being of a child in the setting's care.

If the second criteria isn't one you've yet experienced it's a great question for a staff meeting. Consider how you'd liase with parents, check dates and information. Find out how as a group and through your partnership with parents you'd handle this child's transitional experience.
