question is: Describe with examples how to behave approiately to a child or young persons stage of development? thank-you for any1 who can help me with this.

Hi
It basically means that you would change your approach/body language/spoken language appropriately as per the childs age/stage of development. i.e. a young child you would bend to their height and speak in terms that were understandable to them, whereas with a teenager you might speak to them more in an adult form etc

You may supervise younger children's toileting and hand washing but wouldn't do that with older children and young people.
We may give hugs to babies and younger children but this would be inappropriate for older ones.
