Default Support the creativity of children and young people

I'm trying to finish up my level 3 diploma and I only have two units to go and I am seriously stuck on a couple questions..

Any answers, or tips would be very much appreciated

1.2 Identify the potential benefits of different types of creative activity

2.2 Explain the importance of encouraging children and young people to recognise and value creativity

3.3 Explain the importance of encouraging carers to support children and young peoples creative activities.

4.1 Explain the importance of spending creative time with children and round people and the benefits that can result.

I've been trying to answer these all weeek!!!

Hi Humminbird,
1.2
·Identify the potential benefits of different types of creative activity.
Creative movement allows children to express themselves through dance, music and even by how they move around, in PE recently we were learning about the Chinese culture and the children dressed up as dragons and did the movements together the children were aware of space how they were moving to the sound of the music and all the children took part and they all enjoyed it and they learnt about how the Chinese celebrate the new year through dance and being creative.
Creative through modelling helps children gain confidence and helps with fine motor skills. We have a creative table set up and the children now pick which materials they want to use, the children really enjoy this and one of the children took some of her work to show the headmaster because she had used many different materials to make a house and there was a lot of detail on what she had made and she was very pleased and proud to show off her work.
Creative in singing and music, every Monday we have singing lesson and the children learn new songs and movements to go with the song this encourages gross motor skills as well as playing musical instruments which the children enjoy doing this allows them to express themselves through sound and sometimes the children will make a musical instrument on the creative table using plastic bottles and putting beads into it and then shaking it to make sound.
Small world play is also good and the children are very creative as they take on the role of dinosaurs and farm animals.
Creative role play, the children can be very creative in the role play and they will take on the roles of their parents or play schools were one will be the teacher and others will play the part of one of their friends this builds up confidence, friendships and how they see us as adults.
Creative writing, children can use story telling and be very creative with making up their own, one child who brought a poem into class which he wrote on holiday had it read out during assembly because he had been very creative in linking it with his holiday and the sounds and sights he saw.
Creative partnership visit our school every Tuesday and work with different classes they provide many different materials for example in nursery they built us some high poles with rope stretching over the playground and then they drape material over and the children then use the material to dance, wrap themselves in and watch how it moves in the wind. They provide different types of wood for the children to investigate and build with and we also put cardboard boxes out for the children to climb into, hide, climb through they really do love it they use them as cars, trains buses and more. On the main playground they have placed bits of wood hanging from tress with words on them and the children then start to discuss what it could mean this gets the children interacting with each other really well. They have also used the meeting rooms and blacked out all the light and each class is invited in to watch how light and sound vibrate off bits of wires, they used hi tech equipment but the children loved it and it got them all talking about it.
Art, mark making, drawing and painting can benefit a child’s fine motor and pincer skills, we use many different materials including paint, crayons, chalk, stickers pencils and they can draw, paint, finger paint and much more and they feel a sense of achievement when they have finished their work and they are always given praise and we discuss what they have painted and ask what gave them the ideas this allows them to not only become confident in art etc but also in communicating and giving ideas to their peers, there is no wrong way for a child to be creative through art its allows them to show their individuality and creative side.
hope it gives you some ideas x
