Hi, your setting will have a policy for how wall displays are planned and then displayed so that everyone remains safe and healthy.

For example, consider if a team member wanted to create a low level winter themed wall display in the toddler and baby room using real holly and mistletoe berries, brought in a set of fairy lights that they were sure worked most of the time and an adapter to ensure they could be plugged in.

There has to be a way for settings to make sure wall displays amongst many other things are not a hazard, if you ask they'll be able to let you know what they expect.

Best wishes

Hi

I am considering do this one for my optional units. How many optional units do you have to choose? My assessor hasn't explained them to me yet and she is going off on long term sick and I've not met her replacement yet!

Hi, displays communicate with individuals who can see, read and touch. Designing a display to include community members with hearing impairments means you can tell them specifically about local services, where hearing loops are, places that offer support and advice, events, local and national news which all removes the immediate need to have to find someone and ask them.

Displays support independence, save everyone time, inform people, celebrate diversity, can be welcoming and promote the setting's activities.

Page 203+ of the level 2 handbook looks at displays in more detail. Search inside for 'display'

Hope this helps xx
