Hi, there is lots of reading for EYMP 5 on Talking Point

Page 412 of the Collins Level 3 candidate handbook 2011 list the positive effects of adult support as being;

• children's self-confidence develops
• increase children's self-esteem and enhance their well-being
• improve children's ability to interact socially with others
• develop children's ability to express their feelings and manage their behaviour
• enrich children's involvement in speaking and listening activities
• reduce the number of referrals for specialist speech, language and communication support.

Pages 298+ of the Heinemann handbook look specifically at the language skills, social interaction, behaviour and emotional development.

Emotional development
Positive adult support also helps children's emotional development. Not only do children become more confident, they also find through words, ways of controlling their emotions and expressing their needs.
