I am on this question, this is what I wrote so far. Not sure how much more I need to write as I haven't handed mine in yet, but I think I'm on the right lines.

Physical:
•Unexplained bruises, marks or further injuries, or bruises or marks in the shape of objects like belts and hand marks.
• Disagreements from children and parents in how injuries were caused.
• Flinching at certain movements, quick actions and also at loud noises or shouting.
• Bruises on babies who not mobile yet.
• Violent outbursts and tries to hit and bite.

Emotional:
• Child may refuse or try and avoid having to go home.
• Aggressive or withdrawn behaviour.
• Child may suddenly become closed off and not allow and physical contact or affection.
• Low self esteem.
• Seeks attention.

Sexual:
• Child may act out or talk about activities they shouldn’t know of/know to that extreme for their age.
• Acting withdrawn and be scared of psychical contact.
• May have a very out of the blue change of personality.
• Re-occurring urinary infections.
• Sore genital areas.

Neglect:
• Child may have dirty clothes, clothes that don’t fit or suit the weather all the time or just general uncleanliness.
• Child may not like being given any sort of physical affection or contact.
• Child may have a lack of any sign of dental or medical care.
• Hungry/Undernourished and underweight.
• Stealing food/Trying to get food from bins.

Default Section 4: Responding to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused or harmed Previous

Can anyone help me with this question i am stuck and unable to answer. The question is " Describe the possible signs, symptoms, indicators and behaviours that may cause concern in the context of safeguarding. (4.1)"
I have to answer sign, symptoms, indicators and behavior separately.... Feeling stuck

possible could include if there clothes or appearance isn't right, what it could indicate, hungry and not eating correctly, cleaniness. no help from parent in their education such as not reading with them. I haven't done this section yet as only just started but could be ideas.

there's useful information on the NSPCC website for this - signs, symptoms and effects

Page 123+ of this CYPW handbook
is also good reading.

Best wishes
