General question Diploma CYP, Legislation

Hiyyyyyyya

Just started 025- Safeguarding, Outcome 1 Criteria 1

Outline current legislation guidlines and policies.

Because so much refernce to legislation is needed on this course, I have thought about doing a piece of work just about the legislation that touches us in a role.

Of course this wil be a lot, food handling H&S at work, CP, it goes on and on.

I thought I would summarise each piece of leglislation and comment on it i.e. when did it come in, was it put forward following a chain of events etc etc

Then each time it pops up in a unit I can just put a link to it in my assignment.
Has anybody else done this, do you think it would be a good idea? :reading:

sounds ok BUT what i also look for in the written assignments is the ability to follow instructions and include specific criteria, quoting, referncign, paraphrasing etc not just a list of evidence. You should be learning how to construct reports, assignments, portfolios etc so if they ask for that you need to deliver it. it isnt an nvq where the evidence matters no matter the presentation. check with your tutor as in my college the academic content is nearly as important as the evidence. but then we are preparing learners for uni.

Up to now I have been referring to legislation in my assignments, identifying compliance within our policy and procedure, how it impacts on my role how it impacts on the lives of children and young people etc etc

I just thought if all the legislation was all in one place it might be easier to cross refernce, but thinking about it now, It would be a massive task on its own, to get all this information put together, it would take me weeks lol

Think I will just carry on the way I am lol
