Hi, I hope these help ..
As a practitioner you help children through the language/communication - words & facial expression you use when children request a resource, ask for help in moving things around. These can encourage and discourage choices.
The awareness you have of your play environment for children to access resources enables you to know where things are, and how to source other resources to expand on what's already available. The way you retrieve and interact can encourage and discourage choices.
The activities you plan, encourage and promote, enable children to make choices, with communication those choices become more informed.
Maybe you ..
- Plan for physical exercise - how can all of your children feel they want to particiapte in an outdoors activity. What are their needs, age, ability and interests..
- Promote awareness of dental/oral care - what activity would interest all the children to take care of their teeth and how is it possible to discuss views on why there is a need to take care of teeth.
- Road awareness - run and walk across a road, explore which is safer, quicker, most dangerous.
- Sleep routines - why sleep
- Fizzy drinks, sweets or fruit, milk and water
