Default Jeans for Genes day - 3rd October 2008

JEANS FOR GENES DAY IS FRIDAY 3rd OCTOBER 2008

.........................................
Where the year differs from the current - Please, confirm the dates of the campaign with the main official website. Our Dates for your Diary page will contain more uptodate information on a month to month basis. We do strive to keep on top of updating our campaign forum threads and apologise if you happen to come across one that needs attention !
...........................................

We are helping raise money again this year for the 'Jeans for Genes' appeal. Organised by four national charities, it raises funds for research into serious and often life-threatening genetic disorders affecting thousands of children. Funds also provide laboratory equipment and facilities, as well as valuable advice and support for families.

All we ask is that children come to Preschool dressed in their jeans, and pay £1 for the privilege! We have also asked that parents/carers dropping off and picking up also wear their jeans and donate £1 too! Every little helps!

Go to www.jeansforgenes.com for more info!

This is a great cause! When I used to work near a shopping parade I would go and badger each shop to donate something for a raffle and then go and flog everyone tickets! It used to go down well, especially for those who weren't allowed to wear jeans because of their job!

Our Dancing Dog's Jeans craft was originally designed to help bring a theme to playgroups fundraising for this cause ... very best wishes to all for a great event this year

If anyone does anything slightly different, like removing Jeans, making bags and then selling them ... let us know
