Coffee What are you?

Every area has a 'nickname' if you like. I live in Darlington and Darlingtonians are 'Quakers'. But, being from Middlesbrough until 6 years ago, I'm actually a 'Smogmonster'. (nice!) Where do you come from and what are you known as?

Well.....

The Basingstoke has the nickname 'Doughnut City'!, and is (apparently) officially the most boring place in the UK due to the high number of accountants who live there! I found it funny that, after Swindon, Basingstoke has the most roundabouts in the country!!!! Who counted them?!:rotfl:

As for Dartford, I've found zilch! Apart from the football team's nickname - 'The Darts'. :sorry:

Most nicknames are regional or derogatorily given by neighbouring (rival) towns, which is why rural villagers are usually 'Woolly-Backs' or worse!

Keep them coming...........

Being from Middlesbrough, I don't think I can answer that!! LOL!!:rotfl: When I was a kid there was such a big rivalry between the 2 towns! It made sense then, now it's just stupid!!! To try and find out, just surf the net!
