Hi, it's asking you to look at the pros & cons of having and not having relationships during times of transition.

The types of transitions are

emotional, affected by personal experience e.g. bereavement, entering/ leaving care

physical
e.g. moving to a new educational establishment, a new home/locality, from one activity to another

physiological
e.g. puberty, long term medical conditions

intellectual
e.g. moving from pre-school to primary to post-primary

The effect of transitions involve:
Behaviour
Self-harm
Aggression
Withdrawal
Clinginess
Illness
Extroverted behaviours
Sleeplessness
Lack of concentration
Depression
Food issues

If you have this level 3 handbook there is supportive reading in the CYP 3.1 unit from page 78+ or page 87 if you have access to this handbook?

consider the transition in combination with the effects and then think about the impact of someone's support during that time.

Hth xx
