Look for the Education and Inspection act 2006 and then also look for the Education act 2002
I think they are the ones you want!
Of course you could also trail through
WWW.legislation.gov.uk and search for the acts, but that is mind blowing!
There is a news article in Reuters when the act became in force in APril 2007 entitled Teachers given new discipline powers. There are also articles on the BBC website adn in the Guardian on a similar matter.
There is info out there, and alot of the news is related to school issues.
