Hi hope this will help you....
Disability /learning needs child may have to have long stays in hospital making it hard to catch up on missed work Autism/adhd = behaviouaral difficulties easily distracted etc. Learning difficulties dyslexia etc put child behind because they haven't had the support needed to develop and gain strategies to helpw ith learning.. e.g my sonm has dyslexia and he was really struggling to learn and got further and further behind because the school never knew he had dyslexia any how he is now 16 and been dianogised with dyslexia which is late and he was far behind now he has a computer to do his work and a reader and extra time for exams and this as made it so much easier for him. He has now just done his maths gcse and got a c predictated grade was a d and english he got a d.

Health ashtma periods of school not being able to take part in pe lessons etc.
poverty not enough room sharing rooms with younger siblings makes it harder to study

family only child parents have high expectations young carer
cultural backgrounds not be able to take part in certain activities
social peer presure, getting into the wrong crowds
educational learning difficulties poor academic progress, boredom due to the environment not being stimulating enough,

I hope this gives you a few pointers to think about to get you started
