This is quite a bleak press release.
If you can use the information to let parents and carers know of the campaign and its available resources .. please do.

Warm homes is also a good topic title to explore with the children - looking at how important feeling warm is gives them the opportunity to discover what makes them feel warm & cold - materials, fabrics, appliances and eating healthily.

A cold and warm bucket of water can help demonstrate how our hands (bodies) work when they feel cold or warm - playing in one then the other, you could place some tea spoons (or other smaller items) on the bottom of the bucket .. which one would the children rather spend time playing in & collecting the pieces from ?

Does their answer reflect how their body would 'feel about a warm room or a cold one ?

If you have any other ideas on activities for this .. please feel free to post ..
