Hi yes, EYFS is mandatory for all settings on the
early years register and providers registered with an early years childminder agency. The link to legislation is established via the *footnote on page 4 that links the 2014 framework to the regulations in the 2012 framework. Section 3's title - safeguarding & welfare requirements recieved leagal force through the regulation made in
section 39 of the Childcare act 2006
Policy & procedure on the use of mobile phones was a best practice recommendation in light of the
Plymouth case review until the 2012 eyfs replaced the
2008 framework.
