Hello Flump159.

Resilience is the ability to deal with the ups and downs of life and it’s based on self-esteem. The more resilience the child is the better they will be to deal with life as they grow up and enter adulthood. Children with resilience will be better equipped to resist stress and adversity and will be able to cope better with change and uncertainty; they will also be able to recover faster from traumatic events or episodes. Many factors can positively affect a child’s resilience including secure early attachments, confidence of being loved by family and friends, good sense of self-identity, ability to act independently and confidence in tying new things. A resilience child will grow up to become a confident and independent adult, being able to do things they want and trying new things. If they want a certain job they won’t be afraid to try and if it fails they will pick themselves back up and try again.
