Identify the communcation development needs of children :

I did this question and my tutor said that I had 'identified characteristics of communication' Instead of:

Identify communication and development needs children from:
• Birth to 2 years
• 2 to 5 years
• 5 up to 8 years.

I now do not understand they question!
I wrote this :

Birth – 2 years
• Will smile and laugh when other people smile and laugh.
• Make sounds to themselves like cooing, gurgling and babbling.
• Look at you when you speak and when their name is called.
• Make noises point and look at you to get your attention.
• Start to understand a few simple words like ‘drink’ and ‘car’.
• Can follow simple instructions like ‘kick ball’ and ‘stop now’
• Use up to 20 simple words such as ‘cup’ ‘ daddy’ and ‘dog’

2- 5 Years
• Listen to and remembers simple stories with pictures.
• Understands simple ‘who’ what’ and ‘where’ questions.
• Starts to use simple plurals ‘books’ ‘shoes’ and ‘cars’.

5- 8 years
• Focus on one thing for much longer without being reminded.
• Rely less on pictures and objects to learn new words.
• Use their language skills in learning to read, write and spell.
• Learn that different words can mean the same things.
• Understand feeling and descriptive words like ‘slowly, carefully or clever’

any help would be great!!!!
