Hi, when you click through the link that Jaimey's provided please don't panic xx The sector's NOS - national occupational standards are industry expectations. The way they're laid out are a little daunting as they form/ed the content of the older NVQ qualification.

They are good reading and help to highlight what you're aware of and doing day to day and also what you're less aware of. If you haven't been given any guidance by a tutor/assessor and don't have access to a handbook read the nos titles to see how they apply to your role, job description and the responsibilites that you're charged with.

The annual appraisal that your setting or placement carries out is also a way for practitioners to evaluate their knoweldge, understanding and performance as the documents used will be matched to the standards.

I hope this helps, best wishes
