Hi if difficulties are not detected early it can affect their learning and development. They could fall behind in school lose confidence because they cant understand things or people cant understand them , they can become frustrated become withdrawn feel isolated. Also it can impact on their life chances as fallinf behind in school means they will probably end up in a low paid job resulting in living in poverty .
