Hi, you can download the two documents from education.gov.uk here - SEND 2011

The main points or categories are:
1. Early identification & assessment
2. Giving parents contriol
3. Learning & achieving
4. Preparing for adulthood
5. Services working together for families
The somewhat odd, 'easy read' version clarifies information.

If it helps there are article pages for each category here: http://www.education.gov.uk/schools/...91/green-paper and about the changes or reform here - SEN reform

There is insightful opinion to read on Optimus-education.com and looks at features such as:
  • The ending of School Action, School Action Plus, statements of SEN and IEPs
  • New single assessment process and education, health and care plans implemented
  • New funding process
  • Existing SEN Code of practice to be updated
  • Improved training
Catch-up on 4 months is a sizeable jump, best wishes with study, please post when needed xx
