Hi, the optionals tend to build on the core units expanding on specific areas, so it might be expected that learners gather the neccessary, additional information based on this knowledge.

It will help to use information inside each unit and the national occupational standard that it links to ..

Unit CYPOP 14 Support children and young people to have positive relationships
NOS - CCLD 301
NOS - HSC 311

The reading found in STL's unit TDA 3.1 is good - adults role in supporting children's positive relationships

Unit CYPOP 17 Understand the needs of children and young people who are vulnerable and experiencing poverty and disadvantage
---- http://www.younglives.org.uk/our-the...nce-of-poverty
---- Review on poverty and life changes - Frank Fields report 2010
---- http://www.cpag.org.uk/child-poverty-facts-and-figures
---- Christian charity group http://www.childrenssociety.org.uk/w...-child-poverty

Unit CYPOP 22 - Understand the speech, language and communication needs of children and young people with behavioural, social and emotional difficulties
EYMP 5 will help support this
NOS - CCLD 337
---- http://www.priorygroup.com/special-s.../ebd-education

If you've access to a handbook - on amazon, use the index at the back of the book to look for keywords eg .. Relationships & speeh, language communication needs link to shc 31 & eymp 5. Poverty links to cyp. 3.7 and supporting children's positive outomes.

The search page onsite will also help if you enter words from the assessment criteria to look.

Hth, best wishes xx
