Role play with numbers in an illustrated version of this sing-song rhyme. This is an excellent activity for getting to know children's names and for new starters who are game-ready it's a nice way to introduce themselves. For those who aren't quite ready for this stand up type of participation use the time when the coins are distributed to gently say each child's name.
Laminate the shop, cake stand, token coins and rhyme to use again and again.
