hey this tread is old but this is just my answer:
2.3 Describe how own values, belief systems and experiences may affect working practice.
Everyone has different religions, views and beliefs. What you believe in is most desirable to you and a part of who you are. We act positively to people who share the same beliefs and less comfortable with people with different priorities. It is natural to spend time with the people you share your interest in. However, the professional relationships you develop with people you support are another matter. As a professional, you are required to provide the same quality of support for all, not just for those who share your views and beliefs. Working with children, you are bound to come across someone you have a bad view with. Your reaction to them affects the way you work is a crucial part of personal and professional. If you allow your own preferences to dominate your work with people, you will fail to perform to the standards of the Codes of Practice for child care workers set out by the UK regulating bodies. You should always respect and care for children equally regarding the code. You should always treat them same not having a bad view just because of their beliefs or religion. You need to work out your own views and values so you realise what kind of view you are giving the child. If you realise you aren’t giving them enough attention or heed to them it’s when you improve and follow the code respectively treating the child as you do with the people you have good views with.
