We did it!
Dear Friend
I'd like to say a big thank you for your support for our dormouse re-introduction appeal. Thanks to your generosity we are now ready to release hazel dormice into their new home in Warwickshire this Wednesday. Don't forget to follow our progress on the 20th June via
Twitter and Facebook. Our Outreach Officer Emily Jones will be on site sharing photos and videos so you can see exactly what you have helped achieve.
But the story doesn’t end here, in fact it is just the beginning. We need to give these animals the best start we possibly can to ensure that they thrive and multiply. We have a small army of local volunteers who will feed the dormice daily at first while they acclimatise to their wild surroundings and then continue to monitor their progress for years to come. The woodland will also be carefully managed to make sure it remains a suitable home for the new inhabitants. All of this takes time and money so if you wish to donate further, our fund is still open and always welcoming of generous gifts!
