Biggrin Natural Dyed Easter Eggs

Now, I know I'm either too late or far too early for Easter, but if I don't post this now I'll never remember!!!

Natural ways of colouring hard-boiled eggs for Easter. I already knew about onion skins, but I've found some others:

These are saucepan methods - simmer for at least 8 mins, the longer they simmer the darker/brighter the colour.
Orange - carrot skins, paprika
Purple - purple iris petals
Green - ferns, parsley, spinach
Blue - red cabbage leaves, crushed blueberries
Red/pink -cherries, fresh beetroot, red onion skins, crushed cranberries
Yellow - yellow onion skins, saffron, ground turmeric
Light yellow -lemon peel, orange peel, ground cumin
Brown - coffee, tea

You can:
'Etch' the eggshell before dyeing with a needle.
Wrap the eggs in coloured crafting tissue paper and spritz with water, leave to dry and remove.
Marble pattern - mix food colouring and vinegar. Add 1 tbsp veg oil, dip eggs!

Try:
Tying string/rubber bands/sticky tape round
drawing on the egg with a white candle, it will repel the dye

So, give it a go and have fun! :bouncy:
