role of childcare practitioner in assessing and profiling development - is to observe and assess their key children, producing formative and summative assesments. Planning individually for each child and comparing their actual stage of development to the expected norms. To detect any delays in a childs development and acting on these appropriately - whether this be a change to the setting or additional support needed for the child.

the role of other professsionals in assessing and profiling development - here you should write what other professionals could be included, so speach and language therapists ect and what their roles are, so for example supporting the setting and child with their speech.

when and where any concerns about development should be referred - write about when you should refer a child, so after conducting observations and assesments, discussing concerns with the childs parents ect. Write a list of who a child could be refered too, so behavioural therapist ect

hope this is of some help, i know how annoying it is when you look at a question and go arghhhhhhh!!!
