This latest news item from OFSTED highlights concerns over the security of personal details which contactpoint will hold on all children in England:

I'm not sure how closely ContactPoint have built links with the
National Programme but can see enough similarities & stumbling blocks that I have my fingers crossed tightly that they are talking to each other about things !!
ContactPoint is intended to go live next year and gives access to key authorised people who will have the responsibility to update relevant information.
