Benefit:
- Keeping active: a healthy diet boosts energy levels, improves bodily functions, boosts the immune system to increase resistance to illness and infection, increases life expectancy.
- Getting daily nutritional needs: a healthy diet reduces the risk of minor and more serious illnesses such as cancer and diabetes. Healthy teeth, hair, skin and bones
- Enjoy learning and life: a healthy diet can make them feel more positive and learn more effectively and reduce stress levels.
- Sleeping well: a healthy diet will enable them to sleep more easily and feel more rested
- Losing weight without a diet: Healthy eating is more likely to promote a steady weight loss and be maintained.
Consequence of an unhealthy diet is obesity which causes
- problems with joints
- headaches
- drowsiness
- snoring
- gall bladder disease
- high blood pressure
- high cholesterol
- low self-esteem
- risk of Type 2 Diabetes later in life, although children can contract this disease.
Too much sugar in a diet can cause tooth decay
