Hi a warm welcome to the site. Reflection regarding transitions in general helps your awareness of knowing what can and what might happen. That enables you to plan - how you could respond, how you react, what you say, what you do and have strategies ready to overcome any difficulties children experience when settling in, leaving a carer, moving rooms, toileting, dealing with changes at home such as new siblings, divorce and bereavement.

You can read about supporting children using reflective practice in the Transitions in Early Years book on amazon.co.uk it uses all the home nation frameworks to highlight links :)
