One example I saw in my setting, was the practioners regularly telling the children not to run on the grass when it was wet. The practioners explained why we don't think they should run on the wet grass but letting them manage their own risks and supporting them to make decisions regarding their own safety and well being. Some children wanted to make their own minds up about this and were running on the wet grass. But we as practioners were there to supervise them and support them.
