k2d64 ~ A child with high self esteem is more likely to be happier, have more secure relationships, better mental health and are more able to cope with lifes difficulties. To help children develop this you must listen to them, set goals which will challenge the child, always praise the child, show them they are valed and basically build their confidence so they will be willing to try and achieve new things

k2d69 ~ A child will feel more secure if they feel safe and are familar with what is going on in their environment and have a routine which is followed daily. Any changes to the routine should be discussed before hand and explained in simple terms in order for the child to understand. if a child feels secure they will separate from their parents, a lot easier than an insecure child.

hope this helps :)
