Not sure if this helps but this is what I would say:

its important to take a child seriously when they have told you about abuse as its not something that a child would lie about regardless of age, they are telling you in confidence as they are asking for help etc.

it is important to reassure the child after disclosure as the child may feel that they have said/done the wrong thing, you may have to reassure them that things will be ok in the end regardless of the outcome.

importance of confidentiality: its your responsibility to keep all info confidential and to stay within the setting and only workers who have direct contact with child i.e. key worker, manager/person in charge of dealing with child abuse.
