Use photographs of star fish to show their shape and prompt discussion.
Use cutters where appropriate.
Once dried and painted you can decorate your wall display border with them or turn them into hanging mobiles.
Hot glue them to the front of a white mug and use as 'Ocean themed' pencil pots!
If you use them in the sand tray give each one 2 coats of hard wearing varnish to help prevent the damp sand making them go soggy!
