Help SOS Attachment Theory....

Hi all,

I just wanted a bit of feedback and help, I'm doing my theorists essay but i'm really struggling with the strengths of John Bowlby's attachment theory!
So far I've got that children who have been neglected by the primary caregiver show difficulty in forming attachments and relationships, medical research proves that babies in the womb hear and recognise their mother's voice and bonds are formed immediately after giving birth, and children who come from "nuclear" families show more self confidence in stressful stiuations.

Am I on the right lines with these and has anyone got any other ideas? I've had no trouble with the weaknesses part but the strengths is proving more difficult for some reason!

Thanks for any help that might come my way!
