338k11 - working culture, values and principles of the sector

Working Culture and Values of the sector
1. The needs, rights and views of the child are at the centre of all practice and provision
2. Individuality, difference and diversity are valued and celebrated
3. Equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice are actively promoted
4. Children’s health and well-being are actively promoted
5. Children’s personal and physical safety is safeguarded, while allowing for risk and challenge as appropriate to the capabilities of the child
6. Self-esteem and resilience are recognised as essential to every child’s development
7. Confidentiality and agreements about confidential information are respected as appropriate unless a child’s protection and well-being are at stake
8. Professional knowledge, skills and values are shared appropriately in order to enrich the experience of children more widely
9. Best practice requires a continuous search for improvement and self-awareness of how workers are perceived by others.
Principles of the sector
1. The welfare of the child and young person is paramount
2. Workers contribute to children’s care, learning and development and safeguarding and this is reflected in every aspect of practice and service provision
3. Workers work with parents and families who are partners in the care, learning and development and safeguarding of their children, recognising they are the child’s first and most enduring carers and educators.

338k12 - current and future work being carried out
I would think this is about what activities are currently being provided for the children from the planning that has been done, and what is planned for them in the coming weeks eg short term and long terms plans. This should also cover children with individual education plans and what is being done to support them.

338k15 - line management responsibilities and relationships within the organisation
Apply this to your seting, who is/are the line managers in your setting, who do they answer to? Who do they have working for them? What is their specific job role?

338k16 - the organisation's values and culture
Again, this is specific to you setting, what is the ethos of the setting? to promote equality, diversity, inclusion, community relationships, strong relationships with parents, happy healthy children, good learning outcomes etc

338k20 - agreements with colleagues
Again, not sure, but would I would think this has to do with making mutual agreements with colleagues that you are all happy with, showing that you are a good team player, and sticking to and fulfilling these agreements showing that you are reliable and trustworthy.

I hope I have been of some help :reading: xx
