I have the CCLD level 3 book by Heinemann as recommended by my assessor. I have only just started my NVQ3 but it seems to be ok. It has the mandatory units in it and the most popular optional units in it. It is set out in an easy to read fashion and broken down into manageable paragraphs with headings that can help you refer to the knowledge points. I seem to be able to draw out what i need from it, having said that i have not used the other text books so could not give you any comparison.
