when you are planning an activity how does safety come into it? and why? basically things like the health and saftey policy, risk assessments etc help you decide how to do an activity to ensure its safe. for example You might have wanted to do an outing to a park accross town but after doing risk assessment you are informed there are a lot of dangerous roads so you decide its safer to go to a closer park and plan to go there instead.

what health and safety equipment, leglislation, procedure forms, courses and info have you got access to ? e.g accident book, insendent forms, policies-drop off pick up, sick child policy, training available, first aid box etc

what do you do to make sure your setting is safe? e.g toy cleaning/checking/risk assesment/keeping record of accidents, insidents, children off ill etc

use health and safety act, childrens act, work regulations, your policies etc to quote from.

hope this helps
